We bought the Ductless Heat Pump because our heat source was baseboard heating and that was very expensive to run. We have had the heat pump for about 3 months and are extremely happy with it. We have noticed that we are getting warm air not only in our living and dining room but also in the kitchen and office. The kitchen and office are in L shaped rooms off the living room and we were quite surprised that the heat pump warmed and cooled these areas so effectively. We have also noticed how clean the rooms are with the air circulating through so efficiently and allergic reactions have been greatly reduced because of the filters. Friends that come over have commented how much cleaner the rooms feel. Overall we find this system to be outstanding!

I am so grateful that there was an article recently in The Columbian's "Energy Adviser" column on ductless heat pumps. Until I read that article, I had no idea that the product existed, and I wondered what I would do if my much-loved ceiling cable heat would become inoperative in yet another room. Wall heaters had already been installed in three rooms (living room, dining room, and one bedroom) to replace the un-repairable cable heat. They were loud and ugly, took up wall space, limited furniture placement, and they didn't work very well, creating hot spots and leaving cold spots. Then just last month the ceiling heat broke in the kitchen, where there wasn't even any wall space to accommodate another heater (not even a baseboard heater).
I knew I couldn't afford the expense of installing ducts, nor did I want to live through the mess that such an installation would require. Having lived in houses with forced-air heating systems (both gas and electric), I hated the sensation of breathing hot, dry air. In contrast, the ceiling heat always made me feel warm, while the air I breathed was cooler.
A ductless heat pump seemed my only option. Still, I didn't think it would compare to the the ceiling heat. What a pleasant surprise it has been! There is no sensation of breathing hot, dry air, no hot or cold spots, and it is incredibly quiet. The warm air circulates throughout the three-bedroom, 1600 sq. ft. house (as long as bedroom doors are open).
MetFab Heating did a great job correctly sizing the unit and answering all our questions both before and after the installation, which was quick (6 hours total), courteous, and clean. I couldn't be happier with this heating system (and the A/C is a big bonus)!

The wall unit may look intrusive, our kids called it a huge printer hung on the wall, but after a couple days we all were happy to have the wall unit in the family room. You never hear the heat turn on but can sure feel the comforts of it being there. I don’t think I can remember a night where we could all be hanging out in the family room without blankets and a fire downstairs. In fact last week it was almost too warm in our 3000sq ft house. The capacity of each unit was hugely under estimated and we love the comfort of them. We got our first power bill and I was shocked that with just a small amount more a month I can wake up comfortable and not dreading getting out of bed. The Metfab workers were pleasant and respected everything in our home. They were on time everyday and worked constantly. I would recommend them for any job, great workers. Over all, our experience has been more than fantastic, we are warmer, have more time together (not worried about always building a fire) and it’s so much cleaner air. Couldn’t be more pleased!!! Feel free to call us anytime. Well worth the investment, only wish we would have done it earlier.

Our Mitsibishi Ductless Heat Pump was installed on November 11th and it is great! We love getting up to a warm house and we’re looking forward to cutting back on our electrical bill for the baseboard heaters and supplemental portable units we were using. This is so much better. Thank you DuWayne at Clark County PUD for doing the energy audit and telling us about Ductless Heat Pumps!

The installation company was very thorough, giving us multiple options with different benefits and costs. Ryan from Webster was extremely helpful and spent a significant amount of his time providing us with important information. He did this even before we accepted their bid to do the installation.
We are very satisfied with both the indoor and outdoor units. They are quiet, efficient, and perform just as described. We used to have some difficulty with humidity but the new units have solved that problem by better managing the airflow and dehumidifying the air. Our old system didn’t provide any air movement and we’re very happy with the change.
We are most pleased with the Ductless System’s ability to better manage humidity, to have constant airflow throughout the house, and the air conditioning feature.

I have a 1300-square-foot home, with three bedrooms and a single occupant. I got two interior units, and they are working perfectly to control temperatures in the entire house. (If there were more occupants, in separate bedrooms, then perhaps an additional interior unit might be needed. In my own case, I keep the doors of the rooms open, and air flows throughout the house.)
It is soundless. You hardly know it’s there. My major reason for seeking a heat pump was to cut electrical heating costs in the wintertime. When the installer suggested it would also be useful for air conditioning, I said, “oh, I don’t need air-conditioning.” How wrong I was! We have just had several days when the temperature went above 100. The heat pump made an enormous difference. What a relief it is to be able to count on cool temperatures when I need them!
I am very satisfied, and I am encouraging all my neighbors to get heat pumps.
